Servette have increased the points deficit to league leaders FC Basel in the Swiss top flight after a second successive draw. In their last league outing, Servette were forced to a 1-1 draw by visitors Lausanne. The home team took the lead through Bosnian winger Miroslav Stevanovic on 32 minutes but were unable to preserve the lead until the half-time break.

The opening goal of the game played on Saturday from Stevanovic was cancelled out by Swiss midfielder Stjephan Kukuruzovic with one minute left to play. Kukuruzovic scored for Lausanne from the spot to earn a point for his team after the two teams failed to find the back of the net in the second half.

Gael Clichy is the most experienced player in the Servetteteam and the Frenchman featured for the entire duration of the league clash with Lausanne. He has one goal and one assist in eight games for Servette in the league this season following his free transfer move to the club earlier this year.
Ex-French national team left-back Gael Clichy was also in the starting line-up for the FC Zurich game which started the recent run of two successive league draws for Servette. Gael Clichy was a part of the Servettedefence that conceded two goals. Servette needed a late goal to earn a 2-2 draw away to FC Zurich.
Since beating Concordia in the second round of the Swiss Cup, Servette have drawn all their two matches in the league as stated earlier, their last win in the league came against 10-man St. Gallen earlier this month. They thrashed St. Gallen 5-1 at home to make it three wins in six league games. The win over St. Gallen moved Servette to within two points of FC Basel but they have since dropped six points off the leaders after two consecutive draws.
